*.a belated IT'S A WRAP..*

Helloo world! In WISP class now aka World Issues: Singapore Perspective, an interdisciplinary (IS) elective module. HAHAHA! trying to act precise. Calvin's presenting his slides now, on Foreign Workers' stereotypes. Showing "THE CALL HOME", short film on this bangladesh worker in singapore, ryan showed it to us during Storytelling Techniques in Sem 1. HAHA I WANNA RIP THE SHOW FROM CALVIN UNCLE LATER!!! =)

Just had our group presentation on Stereotypes of Rich & Poor. 35% damn big, but that's electives for you, lighter assignments (BUT STILL LAST MINUTE WORK ON MY PART HAHA!!!) nonetheless it went okay, i lovee my grp mates! HAHA!


Had telecine yesterday. For non-FSV people, Telecine is when we go down to a post production company (ie) VHQ to let a colorist treat our raw footages from short film shoots, then dump the film format to digital format into Digital Beta tapes. So we can convert them to DV tapes and sync the footages with the audio...then edit on our editing station..HAHA okay a little too much info but anyway!

Went VHQ at 1050am yest for telecine, but our slot was postponed till about 1pm. =( cos VHQ's consoles had some faults and they had to correct it before we could let the colorist do WONDERS to our filmlet. Colorist edits the colour using a console that costs $376483725468156814 (an exaggerated sum), in short, like photoshopping our video in accordance to how we want the feel/mood of the film to be (similar to photoshopping our photos) la.

Here's the colorist in the suite (oh too dark can't really see him). Director (xq) and Director of Photography (Humin aka meatball) have to sit beside him to tell him our colour preferences.


here's the Digital Beta (DBeta) tape derrick just passed me! haha loveee it! Can't wait to edit with huimin and dengli next week. My 1st chinese cum hokkien film! HAHA!


I was bored in class and just labelled the tape! =)


Lians is doing her attachment at VHQ, and we saw her when she went out for lunch with her bf. AHAH must take photo with her! =) kinda miss having her around.

byebyebye lunch now, gotta pia for next IS. Teacher is so scaryyy and we haven't done a single thing for submission next week. HAHA! GOODBYE! Wish me luck. Today so far so good. Reached sch 915am, edited abit of doc pro for 20mins, think we can submit after another 10 mins of editing. =) LAM SISTERR DUN WORRY K! u're not stressing me la SIAO!

1-3pm: Events Communication tutorial/grilling from teacher
3-4pm: help lam/nigel/xxl/jy/jo/jon's grp. help them guarantor for rented van for shoot
4-630pm: Edit doc pro and post pro
630pm-dunno what time: Attend Ngee Ann's Film Degree talk, find out more for further studies.

IT'S FRIDAY!! OMG 6 weeks of sch gone in a breeze. But the ride wasn't a breeze. =( TGIF! THANK GOD IT'S FRI! really happyyyy cos telecine was fine, our 2nd roll of film had fogging! =( but it wasn't a bad one, salvageable. Heng! So yeah, prayers they do get answered after all. =)
