Back in PL days, I used to have a favourite song amongst many.
I used to hum it on my way back home, before I sleep, whenever I'm feeling afraid and despondent from the pressures of life...
I used to vent my worries by playing the tune on the piano when I'm alone at home, and singing to it...
Somehow, the song never fails to soothe my emotions.
I realize I haven't been doing (all of) the above in a long while, but today I received the answer to my prayers for the longest time. =)
My heart fluttered and I was almost delirious. It was a dream come true, I wanted to shout for joy.
I guess it's true, about how patience is virtue.
About how when we don't get one thing we most desire, it is not "never" but "not yet". About how His plans for us get revealed in perfect timing.
"God will make a way,
When there seems to be no way;
He works in ways we cannot see,
He will make a way for us.
He will be my guide,
Hold me closely to his side;
With love and strength for each new day,

Everything in His time, indeed.
With this, life would be perfect soon enough. =)
So I guess, I'm about to fulfill one of my 2012 resolutions! The year looks promising and exciting enough already =)

*..happy birthday, piggers!!..*
HAHAHA it's a birthday tradition to stay up till 12am to witness the 1st second of being a year older. And after replying smses, and facebook msgs and stoning, I'm finally gonna sleep.
Happy birthday piggers! So begins a new chapter in life =)
Simple birthday this year. Just several planned.
(1) 14/10 (Wed): Met jap gang just now =)
Ordered oishii pizza @ luisa's house since her leg's fractured. She has the same b'day as me but is ___ years my senior. Women's age secret..shhh... Think I last met them in ermmmmmm march?? HAHAHA!!! can't remember.
(2) 15/10 (Thur): School from 10am-5pm. Proj discussion for awhile after that. Then off to cinegear to meet slave, meet family somewhere and we'll all go for dinner out =) Dad and bro took time off from work...awwww!!! a day with my greatest loves tmr!
(3) 16/10 (Fri): Dinner with PL Gang =) but peiwen can't make it..jac can't too...aww 1 wife and 1 gf...how sad! Probably meet them sometime soon!
(4) 21/10 (Wed): Lunch with mimi yeo aka my jc classmate =)
heh heh! think the girl gang will do something during lecture tmr! Awwwww. As of past years, never fail to pop a surprise on me whenever!

*..a sense of loss..*
Yesterday, something made me somewhat depressed and stirred an internal struggle from within. I was brooding over the matter the entire night, and even now. But it's wearing off now.
Bumped into an old friend aka my junior, T, on NEL. She boarded my train at potong pasir, probably came from her grandma's house. Took me awhile to realize it was her who boarded the train in a bouncy manner. She was still the same =) Sat in the same carriage as me, but in the next column of seats. xq was at her favourite "head of the train" seat, easily hidden from all others.
At first sight, I was excited. After all, I hadn't seen her since 2007 January or so. Even then, things had already happened (but I wasn't aware then, abel only told me about it in 2008 and well what revelation). But I could feel her sudden coldness towards me, the minimal verbal exchanges, a look in her eyes I never understood each time she looked at me. Things were just different and downhill from August 2006. We used to be so close at Jap Class etc, msn, phonecalls, smses, meet-ups. And I never saw her online since. Facebooked her several times, sms-ed her sometimes to no avail. And even when I invited her to my 21st birthday party, I received silence.
I guess I got the hint. She probably wanted to give this friendship up, all because of a past event? In all honesty, I don't know the reason and maybe I'll never know. Sometimes it's really dead silences that sour things, making them non-salvageable.
I wanted to go right up to her on the train and say hi, but I just couldn't get myself to. All the way til dhoby ghout where we both alighted, but exited different doors. I think she saw me too, but stayed rooted. I was too proud to go up to her, I felt I didn't deserve to be ignored for some reason I know not of, all these years. I told myself I'd only say hi if she intiated. I even had time to sms mole and luisa that I saw T on the train.
I just couldn't say hi. Such a simple gesture, but so many things had to go through my mind right there and then.
I'm not angry with what she's done back in 2006, she must have her reasons for those. And everything happens for a reason. I might have been angry if I found out about those in 2006, but if you find out about something 2 yrs later when circumstances have changed, I guess the past doesn't really matter anymore.
I guess I'm just disappointed that you chose this path--to give this friendship up, just like that.
I've been putting you at the back of my mind all this while, and once again got reminded of the times we've spent together for a good 3/4 year. You once mattered alot to me...but now I'm really confused...
Perhaps, things would never be the same again. I rather have my memories stuck in our happy times together. Goodbye, dearest junior.

*..expired stuffs in fridge..*
Hello world!
Had wanted to post this days ago, but been busy. So before I forget..
Mouth was feeling itchy few days back and hunted for things in my fridge. To my amazement/shock, I found the Whiteen chewing gum still at a corner of my fridge. Left a few more pieces.
Why shocking? cos it was given to me in July 2006. It's erm..2009 now? Thought we've finished eating it. But yeah disposed of it already! Before anyone dies eating it.
Heh then hunted for old pics cos the gum was part of a present from kei aka fake brother when he was holidaying in japan with yeeloong in June 2006. (jap gang btw!)
Here's the most lousily wrapped present from kei. Haha I remember laughing non-stop when I took it out from the bag.
don't be deceived by its outer covering, the inside is actually quite yummy! all my favourite! erm junk food, hence the words "ONE LOAD OF RUBBISH".

on the day kei passed me the present, we went NLB level 5 to copy jap notes from jap classes. Hmm stefan, cecilia and forgot who else were there too (doing proj with me). And kei was my photography subject! For photography module in semester 1, topic was PEOPLE: PEOPLE AT WORK. Didn't submit this pic, but another.
wow, jap notebook of mine in the pic. I totally erased all jap knowledge I think. Shall pick it up again sometime soon. *guilty* now lu and kei are at another jap school "BUNKA" brushing up on their jap. This can be a new year resolution for me.
oh yeah just remembered. Kei haven't passed me my birthday present from HK! *coughs*
heh yeeloong and kei scribbling away. They looked so different then! =p

*..My 27th May 2008..*
Helloo world!
today I found out that apart from silent readers (of this blog) like NIGELLLLL and PAV, there's JONATHAN!!! OH MY LORD!!!! I cannot talk bad about you here! HAHAHA!!!!!! =p
So today, my alarms didn't wake me up. 615am, 630am, 645am and 7am. All didn't. Then 730am I sprung up and felt like I didn't do something...OH and sleepwalked to the living room to grab the telephone and morning call uncle sw. Then dozed off immediately after he hung up. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DOING IS AND EDITING! PUIII. But caught up on alot of sleep! Till 1130am. =) then I recorded VO for the news clip till 145pm.
On the train to school, I exported and arranged the VO on the timeline nicely. Just got to add visuals for the traffic episode. Ohh I've been putting off showing mr foo the edits cos..I HAVE NTH TO SHOW! haha! Just act blur *shrugs* Doing it now and then when I can dig out time from sch stuffs.
Reached sch 330pm and dengli almost killed me cos we were supposed to meet earlier to dub our D Beta to Mini DV.
Regional cinema from 4-630pm. Watched yan's and lam's presentation and amazingly the 1st time I didn't doze off the entire lesson (erm i meant when they were presenting). Watched an interesting documentary on HK cinema, but I dozed off for say 15mins of it inbetween. Don't know why I can never get enough sleep.
Then realised that i hadn't eaten anything the entire day!! HAHA so went breakfast/lunch/dinner at alumni house with yan, lam, jon, derrick and jo. Mmmm my fav sweet and sour fish rice. =)
Then edited abit of my Blue Nose edit aka post production edit.
And went for Q & A of Filmmakers Seminar. Today's was Jack Neo. Screened his "Ah Long Pte Ltd". I didn't watch it though, maybe catch it over the hols. The seminar was interesting though. He's really quite a joker and a natural speaker. Mmm and...HE SPEAKS LIKE LAM LEH! I REALISED! the pronunciation of alot of words, the way they deliver. HAHA but lam is a more intense speaker la. HANDS DOWN! I couldn't resist filming lam's presentation down. HAHA! shall edit it some day when I'm free. And filmed down Jack Neo too! but my memory sticks were full. =( So some videos were cut off. And I wanna thank the guy sitting in front of me for constantly moving his head and entering my frame!!!
then went home, took 75 with meatballlll! =) and suanned her abt zech as usual. (HAHA ZECH IS ANOTHER SILENT READERRRR)

I typed my FIRST CHINESE EMAIL sometime last week. Sent this to the beijing interviewee, cos he wanted the photos we took together after the interview. He actually made a call to mr foo askin for the photos which I clean forgotten! HAHA!!!

here's my 2nd birthday gift for kei, gave it to him on his actual bday. HAHA! the non-tech savvy guy who's still using friendster asked me to create an account for him and I did. But he's intimidated by facebook and dared not take step into it yet, said he'd do it when he's too free in HK!
and here's the Film Review I did for Regional Cinema's discussion board just now. Totally sucks cos I did it in 10 mins and highly distracted. Mum was vomitting alot and I wanted to hurry fin up and attend to her. I could find at least one grammar error in every sentence after posting when I re-read it. Eew so disgusted with my writing.
Hope mum gets well soon. Pains me to see her in pain. Oh great, whole night no mood to do work already. =( On the lighter note, had a nice chat with peiwen on msn =) SEE YOU SOON! will date you in 1.5 more weeks!!!!! SO MUCH TO TELL YOU!
hmmm what should I do now? Okay I'll do some editing. To make myself feel better. And sleep at 3-ish am.

*..kei is old, he's 23 today..*
helloo world, in case kei says I bo xim, here's an entry dedicated to him. HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY, SASAKI KEI! the 3rd birthday since I knew him, but only the 1st time we celebrated for him. Cos 1st time in 2006, he refused to tell me when his birthday was and I had to guess. 2nd time in 2007, someone was in the US with his dolphins in the themeparks. 3rd time in 2008, jap gang or rather, xq, lu and abel celebrated for him last tuesday, 20th may 2008. Okay I think I'm scaring kei with my good memory, so that's enough!
here's my very first gift to kei! Don't feel too honoured, awwww I was just doing my duty as a nice and true friend! =p
the gift. haha..leather wristband I got for him from beijing. Cos an image of kei appeared instantaneously in my head when I saw this at the shop...SO KEI-ish! I know he has a brown one already, so got a black one.. and he liked it..what to do! GOOD TASTE LA!!!
okay so was editing docu production proj till 9 plus in avid room, and nice chin hwee dropped me at amk mrt. Took train to clarke quay to meet them. They had dinner at sushi tei before that. Hmm we went Fashion bar from 1030pm till 1245am. (haha dx and jj's fav right, from the showmakers days).
anyhows, we cam-whored like mad. With lu's digicam. I didn't bring mine cos bag was too heavy that day and lu was shockedddd that xq didn't have a camera with her.. (cos i knew u'd have what!) Lu sent us 100s of pics, but here's the randomly or maybe intentionally selected ones. *cough*

Miss the jap gang days. Oh well, yeeloong coming back tmr from holland exchange programme. But kei is flying off tmr to HK for internship. Seems like jap gang can never be one whole without missing people. TSKKKK!

Miss the jap gang days. Oh well, yeeloong coming back tmr from holland exchange programme. But kei is flying off tmr to HK for internship. Seems like jap gang can never be one whole without missing people. TSKKKK!

*..a little trough in the midst of peaks..*
Sometimes, when you're just bumming around and clickin randomly on links of some sites, you chance upon information that brings your uplifted spirits all the way downnnn.
Just as I thought things were looking up, reality crumbles upon.
Just as situation's returning back to the usual, truth sinks in.
I guess, it's simple. The solution. To let go, and let things be...just the way it was for a very long time...It really isn't worth all that time and trouble. Yet a part of me, still unwilling to dispose remnants of my sem 1 "saga".
Strangely enough, somehow..
Something tells me this is it,
And it wouldn't kill to just hang around.
I dunno.
Thank goodness for my escapade to beijing in 3 days' time.

IBP meeting at NLB 1pm.
Shopping for clothes, neccessities, shoes etc.
Meeting mum!
Celebrate abel aka nel buddiee's 23rd.
Jap gang died-ed. Down with me, lu and abel.
sasaki kei better join us after his proj at smu, so near only.
I'm still having production (shoot) hangover.
SLEEPY! though I dozed off at 10 plus last night.

HAHA OH MY LORD!
It's 7.07am now and I still can't get to sleep.
Request from Luisa aka now-dysfunct milo buddiee to blog about the mass conversation we had at 5-ish am! HAHA kei, abel, lu, me and yl were online at that unearthly hour so she started a mass window, but yl couldn't be invited in somehow.. TSK! yl's at the other side of the world for his SEP (student exchange prog), so he's like my new msn companion. Oh wait, I'm his new msn companion cos he usually msgs me 1st. HAHA!
jap gang rekindles! =) 5 of us also better than nothing. Miss those crazy NIGHTLY mass window days back in 2006.
so since I can't sleep now, told kei I'd do a kind deed.
and so I did stay up to chat with him & keep him awake. But lu and abel had to go off soon after. =(
and then sasaki kei met with a crisis!!!!!
he supposed to let me summarise after he edited the content, but time was running short, he had to leave for sch.
