HAHAHA it's a birthday tradition to stay up till 12am to witness the 1st second of being a year older. And after replying smses, and facebook msgs and stoning, I'm finally gonna sleep.

Happy birthday piggers! So begins a new chapter in life =)


Simple birthday this year. Just several planned.

(1) 14/10 (Wed): Met jap gang just now =)


Ordered oishii pizza @ luisa's house since her leg's fractured. She has the same b'day as me but is ___ years my senior. Women's age secret..shhh... Think I last met them in ermmmmmm march?? HAHAHA!!! can't remember.

(2) 15/10 (Thur): School from 10am-5pm. Proj discussion for awhile after that. Then off to cinegear to meet slave, meet family somewhere and we'll all go for dinner out =) Dad and bro took time off from work...awwww!!! a day with my greatest loves tmr!

(3) 16/10 (Fri): Dinner with PL Gang =) but peiwen can't make it..jac can't too...aww 1 wife and 1 gf...how sad! Probably meet them sometime soon!

(4) 21/10 (Wed): Lunch with mimi yeo aka my jc classmate =)

heh heh! think the girl gang will do something during lecture tmr! Awwwww. As of past years, never fail to pop a surprise on me whenever!

*..Goodbyeee 22nd!..*

Jumped out of bed today when I saw the date this morning. Usually I'd jump when I see the time instead.

14th October + 1 = 15th. HAHAHA 14th is my secondary sch's birthday. Aka PL's founders' day.

Just struck me that it's the last day of my 22nd year, I wish I could be 22 foreverrr. It's such a nice number, and a not bad age to be in. Young, yet not too young. Old, yet not that old. Okay this doesn't make sense.

Anyhows the 22nd year was a roller coaster ride. The year where most no. of changes took place in life.

- IBP aka FYP shoot and preparation etc.
- Chalet shoot with Chandler and gang
- Slave =)
- Making The Cut (our debut tv appearance & my debut work broadcasted)
- Proper work begins (Oak 3 days, editing jobs, Boku shoot, events jobs)
- Graduation from Film, Sound & Video (FSV)
- A shiok 2 months of slacking after Oak 3 job
- Dexian's shoot
- Chapman aka undergraduate life begins

All major changes, but very fun ones. Never had so many (long) shoots in a year before. All back to back in the span of 9 months. Sobs, suddenly no more shoots to go. =( 22nd year, a year of rekindled friendships, strengthened old ones and let go of those not worth holding on to.

22nd year, is what I call, the turning point of my life =) It's everything I've been waiting to happen the past few years, happening in a span of one year. Really hope the 23rd year's gonna be nicer and more fulfilling yet =) Make everyday count, xq!

I love new beginnings! Okay start with xq being early or on time for school today! HAHAHA!!!!! byebye off to prepare!

On 16/09/09 (Wednesday) at waiting area of slave's house before we went to longfei's house and then the airport. LF went to pay hp bills and xq thought it was a good opportunity to take photos with the white van that's gonna be sold soon!

On 28/08/09 (Wednesday), had a "family" gathering with oak 3's "Making The Cut" papa, mama, sons & daughters. It was a complete family gathering except for uncle sw. tsk! nonetheless, we had fun meeting up and camwhoring.

had a nice time driving them home in the rain, haven't driven in the rain for a loooong time. Something I get to do only when brother's outstationed!

Decided I can't submit chapman form today cos there's a few study/bank loans I could take up but don't know which is the right one. Spent some time waking up at 630am to read those endless forms but just couldn't figure it out. Must take a nice IC photo too, else all my photo cards/official documents in my university life's gonna be toot like my driver's license and ez-link card in poly.

Afternoon: Submit some other documents in city hall area
Late afternoon: SHOPPING!
Night: Kuishin bo buffet dinner at suntec branch probably.

Yummy! Erm talking about shopping. Spent close to 150 bucks yesterday during my 5 hours break in the middle of my shoot. I'd die a happy ghost cos I've gotten everything I ever wanted for now. Okay not really..I still want:

(1) Scanner
(2) 2 pairs of shoes
(3) many t shirts
(4) lots of yummy food
(5) a couple of storybooks

wahahaha! Sigh self control is important. Don't let xq shop alone and no damage will be done. Cos when I'm with people, I'll usually focus my energy on instigating them to spend more instead!

It's mole the pervert's convocation tmr! At nus too..xq shall go before shoot! Lucky doesn't clash.. And so sad that I can't go fionna's cos it's at night on friday and I will have midnight shoot that day! =( SORRY PERVERT! I'm sure SOMEONE else would go though..muahaha!

Helloo world!

Today was pretty much a bad day, except for the "Beyond The Classroom" seminar organised by FSV Alumni Chapter. It was @ NLB, on film financing and distribution. Was a really effective one, eye-opener all. I was so attentive that I couldn't stop taking notes in my niceee notebook.

Hmmm I miss being a student after all.

Was one of the helpers just now for the event. Haha oh wait, the ONLY helper cos Mary Ling was too busy @ Oak 3. Lucky there were 2 Wide-Screen Revolutions interns from Year 3 FSV who were there, so can help me abit. And one of the in-charge overseeing the event was Charmaine aka Pork's bro's gf. HAHA small world and she was amused when she recalled where she's seen me.

After that went with our new friend from the seminar for tea, whilst the guys went town for Left 4 Dead. xq waited for LCM to pass him the caterer's invoice, but he was caught up in school and I met shi mu instead. HAHA SHI MU!!! long time never call her that. =p Joined the guys at cine after that but was pretty much too sleepy cos I only slept 1.5 hrs last night.

Can't wait to start school! At Chapman University! Got the positive response via email today. Haha I think anyone who applied got in, cos there were insufficient applicants.


Mid August! Can't wait to begin a brand new phase of my life. XQ IS FINALLY ACCEPTED BY A UNIVERSITY!!!! =) From 2005-2006 I had a total of 11 rejection letters from various Uni courses. Beat that!

Hmm a slab of pork went to KL this afternoon, sorry I couldn't send you off. Have fun there ya! Last getaway before permanent job. But I can't promise I won't forget you when you get back in 2 weeks' time. I have short-term memory!

xq shall sleep early tonight. It's been a....weird day today... But gonna get busy from tomorrow on, work's coming up! So I'll be well occupied.

*.."Store-Bought Love" Before & After..*

Heh at one of our earlier meetings at the start of the semester, Leslie (supervising lecturer) said we should take a BEFORE photo and AFTER photo. Meaning, before embarking on our fyp, and after filming is more or less done.

So here's the BEFORE picture taken on 3rd September 2008.


Today, we had our crew photoshoot and some interview session of the crew for our EPK (electronic press kit). Derrick Heng Yun was our photographer.

So here's our AFTER picture taken today! 14th January 2009. WOw it's been 3.5 months since the start of the battle and all's been pretty crazy. Glad we've managed to reach thus far, just a little more to go. GO GO STOREBOUGHTLOVE!!! =)


Yess, we all look so tired now, compared to BEFORE.

Haha had wanted to take a pic of ourselves in the same position as the BEFORE picture but was too lazy to take my laptop out for reference. Leslie's face ended up pretty much the same. HAHAHA! dengli, our additional member midway pre-production! Grimace, the purple monster.

Well, here's Derrick sisterrrr's definition of a GROUP PHOTO! Literally take a part of everyone's face and piece them together. He was so proud of it and practically had to show everyone this picture.


So to end off, here's a formal picture! Prim and proper. Daddy in the centre, with his 6 overgrown kids. He started off with 5. Tskkkkk greedy.


Then had lunch, digitized the footages we filmed from the morning, watched the sound edit and visual edits together, some discussions here and there (mainly between chin hwee and eugene), xq decided to shoot more BTS (Behind The Scenes) footages and digitized them again.

Returned the sony z1 to cage la, ordered hotel lock that we broke la, FRIGGING $180 which i have to pay tmr (MADE OF GOLD AH?!) Guy delivering tmr, cage (equipment place) will kill me if I don't return a new lock by Friday's AFP 2 check out. tskkk else I wouldn't even need to be in school tmr. Nvm can edit trailer =)

Then went cold storage buy 4785624 coloured fruits for HD camera test. Haha an exaggerated sum! LCM gave me a list of fruits to help him "shop" for. And after buzzing around school I walked to Bukit Timah Plaza's NTUC. HAHA felt like the longest journey there.

Lucky I picked the stuff in no time, cos mum has trained me to be a good auntie. Pro at choosing and locating fruits (and of course seeking the best bargains). So by the time JJ arrived, he was just in time to carry the basket of fruits! and back to school too. Thanks JJ!

and yeah HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROTHER! once again! I bought him a very nice present! but forgot to take a photo of it. He liked it =) And yeah he's sick on his birthday, so get well! Had a nice family outing at jurong point. Nice dinner at some hongkong-like cafe.
