Okay, so I had a hard time uploading, tagging (getting people to help tag) and captioning all the photos before Christmas, and now I have new batches of photos to upload.

This photo debt thing, it's a vicious cycle in my life. Tsk tsk tsk, hope I'll get it all done by the end of 2010! It's just 2 more days, freaky!

xq's FSV thesis film project is gonna be screened tomorrow. Yes, I know this is late notice, cos school's been crazy and haven't had time to type this out. Haha I only found out about it on Monday anyway, after JJ called me to ask. We've been in our own world and out of touch with the outside world from Location Filmmaking shoots the past couple of weeks.

*..Mixed feelings..*

Hmm having mixed feelings, semi-blues. Was kinda looking forward to tmr, looking forward to seeing everyone who mattered to me at KINO tmr night but due to unforseen circumstances, some of the most important people to me can't make it after all.

slave has a loooong shoot from 630am till probably 10pm.
wj has to ot till late due to last minute arrangements.
my mum would rather stay home to do SPRING CLEANING. -_-

Feel so sian all of a sudden.

Sometimes, it's better to not have hopes at all. The higher you climb, the harder you fall. The same applies to harbouring high hopes.

Hmmm somehow there's this sense of foreboding, feel so unsettled about some stuff. They're almost haunting and lingering round the dark corners. Oh well, whatever will be, will be.

On a lighter note, Leslie gave us an excuse letter from class tmr, so we're saved from the (very boring and most of the time, annoying lecturer WC). So for the record breaking week, I have only 1 day of school this week. Woohoo 6 hrs of school this week. But fear not, cos this only means more make-up class after CNY break. =(

And HAPPY 6th MONTH!! =) It's amazing how time flies by when you're caught up in the busy routine of school and/or work.

*..Goodbye Bahbu, Hello Nai Nai.*

As we enter a new year, Bahbu has left our midst and left for a better cause. An entry to commemorate Bahbu for serving masters these 3 months. From September 7th 2009 to January 6th 2010. Heh actually its bday is later than that, but slave mentioned last time it's to be the same day as his birthday. So effectively, it's 4 months exactly!

oops i sidetracked.

*..Poor little brown dog..*

Just got home and was all ready to crash into the bed.
At least that was what I'd anticipated on the way home.

But just a moment ago, saw a pitiful-looking dog loitering around at the garden below my house. It was light brown with a wet look, probably didn't dry too well from the rain. I kinda followed behind it, wondering if it's a stray or a lost pet. Concluded it could be the latter from its actions and expression.

It walked hesitantly in a straight route for about 100 metres, then pranced up and down the walkway, sniffling the ground along the sides. Then it walked to and fro, looking dumbfounded. Finally the dog stopped and stoned at one spot, its head wandering around at varying directions, as if trying to recall the route home.

Sigh if only there were something I could do to help the dog find its way home. Feel quite sad for her now, hope she returns home safely to her master! It's super cold out there today.

Soooo sleeepy now, got to wake up a few hours later though. IKEA with mama low and slave later! I love IKEA, especially the wings!!! the last time we went there on august 10th, the wings were SOLD OUT -_- What's IKEA without its wings...cheyyyy!

Anyways! was an interesting day today. Had a nice time drifting in and out of sleep, returning sleep debts all the way till 6pm. Intercut with effective msn conversations with friends I haven't spoken to in a looong while properly. Like charlyn, mimi yeo, joanne-marie and "xq".

Then, met slave @ farrer park after work and we had a mad rush going back to his home for dinner, packing shoot's stuff and going for yg's shoot. Slave had to help 2nd bro out as they were short-handed and xq tagged along cos long time nv go shoot. HAHAHA was pretty enjoyable cos I spent half the time laughing at the casts and dialogues. Seems an interesting show after "18g of Love". JIAYOUUUUU!!!

Ended at 1plus am. Slave went home for a nap, but I couldn't fall asleep the whole time (kudos to the effective afternoon naps). Went JB about 415am and we were back in sg by 530am. Hadn't been in there for several years. Pump petrol and wash cars (xiao huang and bahbu, belonging to slave's big bro and slave respectively). Bahbu is sparkling clean now!! After spending a hideous 2 weeks at the car workshop and looking superbly dusty. Just got Bahbu back last night, ALAS. Looking good and engine going strong!! Be good to master, Bahbu! =)

Just reached home at 7am, and okay, I just spent time wasted typing this. I NEED TO SLEEPPPP, like now.

Today's a good day. Today's friday by the way, cos I haven't slept so it's not yet saturday. Today I did 3 things (catch up with friends, shoot, go jb) that I haven't done and had been wanting to do for the longest time.

*..Serendipity..*

The heart's feeling a little too heavy since the afternoon, I guess reality never fails to hurt us time and again. Been a long while since I've gotten upset with school stuff, and today's the "assigned" day.

有种不服气的感觉。
勤能补拙， 到头来也于事无补。
现实包容着谎言。。。
一种令人心酸的不服。。。

Sometimes it doesn't pay to work hard, cos hard work doesn't pay off. Not all the time anyway. Doesn't feel nice that after lagging behind peers for 3 years cos of academic mishaps in 2004 & 2005, an alternative route taken, yet there just isn't any perk for reaching where I am today. Had been working hard and seriously in poly days with one aim, to fight for something I've always wanted but never qualified or was in no position to possess. Reached my desired goal, and now that I'm finally here and so close to getting something, it's heart-wrenching to realize that everything's come to naught in a way. NIL. ZILCH. BOLEH.

Moral of the story.
academic results aren't everything. They don't get you everything you ever wanted. They're just accessed together with your CCA. Which I find to be kinda ridiculous cos it's a polytechnic....don't know but I have this concept that CCAs are only impt in pri, sec and jcs. Polytechnics? It's kinda something redundant.

Yet the supposed "redundancy" has come back to haunt me. And deprived me of an opportunity out of poverty. HAHA ok wait, poverty is a heavy word.

The scholarship panel was bombarding me with questions about my CCA records last month. "Why were you so involved in CCA in your secondary and JC days, but not in poly?"

Because I found the CCAs in sec and JC more interesting and worth investing time in? Because I loved PL Guzheng Tuan and enjoyed some parts of TJC Chinese Orchestra? Cos the people in poly were just different from JC and Sec? Cos there wasn't Guzheng in poly? And to begin with, I couldn't find time for CCAs unless I skipped or sieved through some assignments or miss classes? Lessons ended in the evenings and often proceed to studios/labs till 9pm. What CCA? In FSV, it's either SCHOOLWORK or CCA, they don't often co-exist unless the student is exceptionally good at time management, which I'm mediocre at.

They had at least 3-5 questions for me about CCA amongst the 10 questions. Are CCAs really that important? Apparently they are.

Another question: "Since your CCA records in poly was so bad, how do you think you can contribute to the school and why do you deserve the scholarship?"

-_- It's an academic scholarship, and why in the world does someone from CHAPMAN NEED A CCA?!?!?! And can one only contribute to the school via a CCA? SERIOUSLYYYYYYY gets me annoyed. There isn't even a CCA scoring system for Chapman to begin with! Just accumulate works in our CV, that's more important isn't it?

Well sometimes, things in life don't always end up the way we want them to be. The more we hanker for something, the more we'd be denied of it. Academic Scholarship recipients MUST have BOTH excellent CCA and academic results. They are unforgiving of those who did well academically, but poor CCA; yet they are accommodating of those who excel at CCA and did reasonably well academically. Hmmm which makes me wonder, in the first place, why did we go to school? Our purpose was to STUDY. Not CCA.

Heh just venting, will be fine in a few days. Meanwhile shall hunt for more possible scholarships to apply for. Need the money badly. I calculated after I graduated from Chapman I'd have to repay almost $20k of tuition fee loan for 5 years of education (FSV+Chapman) to the bank in a pathetic no. of months before interest kicks in. I don't see how it's gonna be possible. And I'm not gonna let my 1st year salary just go to the banks. HAIS QUARTER LIFE CRISIS. money woes strikes in more ways than one.

Heng han (Lecturer) once told me that MDA offers scholarships for tertiary education. If they're gonna point out my CCA again then I give up on the Singapore system.

I WANT TO HAVE A 5D IN MY POSSESSION! the shallow depth that is shallow like mad...and the brilliant colours... the shiok aperture and ISO... 1st time I can take nicely exposed photos in extreme low light..


my dream camera! Hahaha, but sometimes..we all know how to differentiate a FAT HOPE from reality!!!

It's a once in a lifetime thing, that xq get to use such a camera... Albeit a short 1 week, but nonetheless cherished memories of the yummy dslr...*act drama*

Hmmm time to find something new to look forward to. Finding new things to do.. Life's getting abit off focus once again...New jobs, hurry come xq's way! =) Feels good each time I close a chapter of life, and move on in search of something new and unexpected..

*..it's the weekend..*

Weekend once again =)

Never fails to be the happiest part of the week. sleeeepy like mad now cos woke up 745am and slept 4am? Going to collect truck before shoot with slave at 10am..GINA'S HOUSE =( SO FAR LA GINA UR HOUSE.... and she's gonna hide the truck keys in her shoes can u believe it?! cos she won't be home....

may today's shoot go smoothly! then xq can finally go for a nice movie in peace after wrapping for the day later. =)

oh my lordddd, need to catch up on sleep. barely slept yesterday also and went to office for work. Stayed on till 1030pm, a record there so far cos boss rather we leave around dinner time and not stay in. But finally finished the edit, kinda like it! and learnt alot the past few weeks.

Life's come to a standstill now, suddenly feel so lost as to what to do after production wraps. hmmmm, gonna keep working, working and working.. FUN! haha I like to have things to look forward to.

Shall get ready leave home. Woohoo, first time taking circle line to Bkt Panjang!

*..therapeutic drives..*

Jialat 730am now and I'm still wide awake after a bath.
Wrapped at 1 plus am. By the time we sent people home, reached jy's house at about almost 3am. xq was contemplating staying...but felt the need to be home..so cabbed home after midnight surcharge was over at 6am...

The past 2 shoot days had driving scenes, hence the car on set.
To fetch and return the car.
To transport people to and from and around locations.
Thanks to jiayun for convincing her mum to lend us her car. Hmm feel really bad that her mum's inconvenienced by us.

Hmmmm really like to drive! HAHAHA though it can be tiring at times, especially for road idiots. Have to constantly keep a look out for every possible road sign. It is only in such times that you learn to appreciate the very detailed road signs.

Who needs street directories when the signs are so effective? HAHA ZHUAI! okay, it's fun to get lost also, if you follow the wrong sign.

suddenly very sleepy nowwwww. Blog soon again. Shall catch some winks and wake up an hour later for work. =( SIAN.

Just feeling very miserable now.
With work, with life, with people, with time.

Really sucks when timings clash.

I feel like there's a time bomb in me, about to explode.

And it's all the more miserable when I can't seem to find time to meet people I really want to spend time with. =(

*..Depressed..*

Feeling really down now.
Depressive state.
And I look like a ghost now, from the lack of rest.
Can't seem to be able to sleep well these days.

It's times like this that you have too many tasks on hand and everyone's pressurizing you from all areas. There's job, project 1, 2, 3 and 3 other videos I have to edit really soon. And everyone's asking me how everything's going. Yes, everyday. There's family issues, misc issues.

Everything put together. Driving me up the wall.

Yet these people who drive you up the wall, they fail to see from your standpoint. They don't know of the other commitments I have on hand. They think my time is exclusively theirs. And hello, I'm doing you a favour of some sort after all, so don't go too far. (if u're reading this blog, it means you aren't one of them cos those people have no access to this page)

Dad & mum were "scolding" me all the way back on the van just now: "xq, you should learn how to say no and stop taking things in to make yourself more miserable. There's a time to stop you know."

2nd time I'm hearing this within the week. My slave told me something similar last tuesday.

Sigh, rejection's the hardest thing to do.

I don't know what to say anymore. Shall sleep now and wake up earlier before work to settle some stuff. Don't know why I'm doing all these anymore, lost all purpose. Just going with the flow and necessity to complete all of these.

Went location recce arnd punggol with dx, cc, gina, qammie, meatball and jj just now. Went home for a yummy dinner, the nicest part of my day. =) Then asked dad and mum to take me to mustafa to get stuff for the upcoming shoot. We kept getting lost in the maze there, and just felt so angsty.

But made my day when I had a random thought and decided to go around searching for the other chicken stuffed toy we left behind at Mustafa on 11th April 2009. Bought 2, left 1. To my delight, I found 3 of them instead and lined them up side by side. FOR A PHOTO MOMENT! =) HEHEHEHE SO CUTE THE DUMB-LOOKING BIRDS!!!



the haul of the night. Everything's for the shoot except my Sennheiser earphones! woohoo! Something I've been wanting to buy in a long time since my other Sennheiser has one side spoilt.

Let's just say today started off on a bad note, highly disorganized and highly vexing. BUT, everything unfolded nicely at the end of the day. Will blog in point form today.

- Happy 58th Birthday, DAD! had lunch with him.

- Got a call from a production house that kaixiang aka fellow oak 3 freelance editor passed me, and I'm starting work tmr =) Corporate video editing for 5 days. Grr, don't like it when I get calls and have to start immediately. No mental-preparedness. But cool though, the office happens to be in the same building as dx's office.

- returned graduation gown and got my $30 deposit back. Woohoo.

- went to my favourite ALUMNI HOUSE toilet...hahaha!!!! so long never go..

- FSV Alumni meeting @ Alumni House from 8-10.40pm! With Mary Ling! And many others.Hmm about 8 in total. What a SCAREerm I mean, surprise! that a slab of pork (who failed to bully me cos too many people around) sat through the boring meeting with us cos he came with his brother.


Count the blessings! Hmmm seems like a busy 1 month ahead at least, if all goes well as planned, I'll be busy till end July. xq loves being busy and feeling useful.

Sigh, just don't like the feeling of having to give up my freedom of nua days. So postponing sleep time now, though I have to wake up 8am.

Helloo world!

5 plus am and I still can't get to sleep. Cos xq's back is aching like mad, but not as bad as yesterday. Almost wanted to dieeee, so just lied with head resting on table at Macs with toufy, who was also sick yesterday. Whilst gina, cc and soh hwee were playing LEFT 4 DEAD. OMG now the girls are hooked to it, scaryyyy. WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO?! but xq doesn't succumb to temptation easily.

When uncle, sean etc brought me to cineleisure to play, I went there to sleep. When gina and gang brought me there, xq slept there too...HAHAHA.... so eric can forget about tempting me to play games with you! (don't even try, you will fail!!) Okay with the exception of facebook games like Bejewelled, Pet Society and Restaurant City which he successfully got me hooked, but I'm more or less sick of all already, maybe except Bejewelled.

Heh so today I showed Pork the korean little girls' videos and he pasted the Original version of "Nobody" in return. ARGH AND I'VE BEEN PLAYING IT NON-STOP SINCE LUNCH TIME. Like almost 12 hours already. ALL YOUR FAULT &%*^$&%#&$#%!!!

It's 440am now and xq's still wide awake, I was totally drained the moment I got home today. Sent camerie for repair, met mum to book her Japan tics at Chinatown (yes she's going without me) and bought mum's birthday present aka Canon Ixus 100IS. Haha bought it earlier than intended because of emergency purposes. Camerie's gonna be stuck at canon hospital for days. =(

It's graduation tmr! Or rather later at 1pm. Hope I don't fall off the stage cos I'm too sleepy and can't see where I'm walking. Woohoo, new black heels =) Sure walk very unglam-ly.

Auntie qammie and I were thinking of all the possible photos we could take tomorrow. HEH HEH exciting only. Cam whore day! And sushi buffet for celebratory dinner.

Been awhile since I last blogged. xq has recently morphed into a 自闭 girl, keeping to herself as much as she can. Cos it just feels good being alone sometimes, bottling things up and keeping to yourself. Don't even like MSN/ADIUM of late..haha! The world has changed!

Got to get this out of my system before I can do anything proper.

Still kinda seething over the "disagreement" i had with M**** from ESR Film Cage (my schs equipment place) at Kino yesterday. PUI, totally spoilt my entire mood. Thinking if I should send an email to the lecturers in charge to voice my "concern", but what if it blows matters up. I still think it's stupid and unfair that they confiscated my diploma cert and put it on hold till I replace the stupid hotel (hotel is the huge locker we store our equipment in) lock that my fyp group owes them.

The lock's so unique that only one place sells it, and it costs friggin $200 but breaks the moment someone (i don't know who) dropped it from the grip truck. xq's been contacting the seller several times the past months since January and his reply is always the same: "Oh that one no stock. u wanna try china brand? also works the same, it's cheaper. Oh dont want ah, ok I order for you, will arrive in a month. Call you when it's here."

So it's not that I don't want to return but it isn't available for me to buy! &%^&$%^$!! So I said to M****, "Why don't I give you the cash now, and when it's available you use it to pay for the lock?"

his reply: "I'm sorry we don't accept cash. So if you want to graduate on Wednesday, you know what to do."

SERIOUSLY WTH!!!! the graduation ceremony is on wednesday and you're telling me this without understanding the situation or trying to understand at all. People have been complaining and condemning M**** but I've always thought he was a nice TSO and sometimes defended him. SORRY HOR, IMPRESSION CHANGED totally. PUI. Now my parents are pretty annoyed with the school too.

And to make things worse, bro's gf smsed me this morning just as I was about to go back to sleep after waking up from a nightmare at 9 plus. Met her up yest for lunch to discuss her boss' farewell video edit. She told me we'll meet tmr night to finalize. And now it's changed to TODAY!!! OH MY LORD, I haven't even got started on it. My laptop's totally filled to the brim, so clearing space now.

so it's been half a day and I'm still angsty. Sorry for the rant. Just annoyed with everything and anything for now.

It's amazing how I could be so at peace at one moment, and how unforseen events can ruin my mood totally.

Anyway wj's off to Arafura with Team Singapore for live-saving competition today. JIAYOU WJ! HOPE U WIN SOMETHING AH!!! =) and yah, mole smsed that we would be meeting up with fionna and sherilyn on monday! So the only 2 nice things that happened today so far.

been gradually, but surely catching up with all the friends I've neglected or met minimally the past 3, 4 years. It feels good that old bonds are rekindled, some were never lost thanks to msn, but time spent together never felt this good.

和父母亲，哥哥联络感情。。。
互相帮助，和睦共处。。。

不必为学业操心，不必为工作忧愁。。。。
简直是享福的最高境界！

但，幸福总是短暂的。
Hail to short-lived happiness. The very entity why it's to be considered HAPPINESS would be its temporal state.

xq has to face reality and get her life back to prim and proper. Routines, work, job, money, income, worthwhile things, making films, learning new things.

I guess, in the endless new stages of my life, I'll never get another chance to while my time away guilt-lessly the way I'm doing now. In fact, feeling quite guilty already. Not really whiling away, for some of the stuff are productive. Chalet shoot, SIFF, helping out events here and there. Few more to go:

(1) Helping bro's gf do a farewell video for her boss

(2) Helping bro's officer cadets do a farewell video for brother who's finishing his term as commander soon. A gift from his sister, to him. At the crucial turning point of his life.

Sigh, can't bear to bid farewell to this life. Let's extend it to the end of this week! Or at least till wednesday, after KINO (FSV graduating showcase for 2008 graduands). Okay, I've been extending this for 3 weeks already.
