So for the past few weeks, on and off...xq met her brother's new friends and we've been recording vo, conceptualizing, filming and editing his business pitch videos...

Yes, amidst my crazy crunch time at school...I almost died trying to squeeze "free" time in to accommodate all of these..

and today the efforts paid off! =)


IT IS OVER!!!

My only regret is....I missed the pizza treat from the professors after school yesterday cos I had to rush off to complete the video for today's deadline...it was 12am just now...And I didn't eat all day cos had been working on it the whole day... Almost died of a heart attack at close to 12am because there was an error with the video exporting, bro wanted to add things into the video, rendering was crazy cos my macbook is ultimate slow poke, everything that could go wrong- went wrong...we submitted the entry form at 2359 hrs and realized the upload link didnt work... 0000hrs the submission closed, our hearts stopped!

AND ALAS! at 0003hrs, the site reopened and they announced an extension of 24 hrs for the deadline! What are the odds! So we made the amendments and it's all good and ready.

Hope my brother wins so that I can have more money, huat ah! Hahahaha....don't like doing free jobs yo! Esp not if it's heart attack-inducing and causes me to get x875346243 pek chek with my oldddd macbook that annoys the hell out of me each time I do video edits with it..

But it was fun though, this whole process. I experimented alot and learned alot...the people were nice =)  I realized that my drawing isn't as bad as I'd imagined. They only provided me with the VO script and some random ideas, so alot of DIY involved. Shot with my niceeee digicam Canon IXUS 130IS yo!! I'm loving it more by the day =)  And I learnt some new things on FCP in the process too.  It was overall a good choice to be involved in this, despite all the angst encountered.

On a lighter note, graduation is in exactly a week! 22nd May, Sunday.  Yesterday was kinda the last day of school, of official classes. Still feeling a little blue somehow. Am gonna miss all the nice friends and times we shared, attacking deadlines and rejoicing at intervals as we overthrow each deadline.

More about the sad partings of life next time. Back to work.

Oh it's my 3rd love's birthday today. HAPPY BDAY MY LOVE! aka carolyn!

Just puckered enough courage to check my overall grades for Sem 3. And it's really weird, comparing the alphabetical representation to the numerical representation of each module.

So the grades are SUPPOSED to be as follows:
A+ = 100%
A = >95%
A- = >90%
B+ = >85%
B = >80%
B- = >75%
C+ = >70%
C = >65%
C- = >60%

Any lower, D or F, kinda failed already.

xq's results for Sem 3.

Then I referred to the numerical equivalent and they don't really tally.

Internet Comm : 94.6% (A, ok I think the lecturer rounded up)

Indie Film: Graded us in alphabetical form for all fields, so no diff.

Senior Proj: 1 field wasn't graded so final marks might be inaccurate.

Law & Contracts: 86.5% (Should be B+, but reflected B. Means B+ is from 87-90%? makes no sense for the small range)

Finance: 91% (A-, this one is correct)

VERY UPSET! HATE Bs! They pull down the GPA alot, but I can't hate C any worse. Got 2 Cs for non-transparent reasons last sem too.

But then again, should be thankful there were no Cs this time round. Phew. JIAYOU XQ! 6 more modules to go, 5 more months. Before we join the scary workforce.

We musn't let numerical and alphabetical representations pull us down in what we aim for. Yet the greatest irony of all is, how much of a role these figures and alphabets play in scholarship applications.

It's such a hate-hate thing, not even love-hate.

Life is very sad, especially when my precious IXUS is spoilt. And the warranty was up on 5th Dec 2010. Couldn't the camera have spoilt mysteriously 25 days earlier? OH MAN. Shall see what I can negotiate with the service centre tmr.

The only way to make 2010 end great is....to give me a free servicing for the IXUS! And erm, better still, free replacement set!! WOOHOO!! But the latter is highly impossible. Meanwhile, I've been sneaking around with the warranty documents and trying to decipher things here and there...Just 'cos I'll be minced meat if mum finds out it's spoilt.

STUPID LENS ERROR! WHY DO YOU HAPPEN SO RANDOMLY?!?! the cam has never given me a single problem, and it suddenly died on me with some disgusting clicking sound when I was about to off it.

Good thing slave dropped by after shoot just now and we managed to catch 1/3 of Personal Taste Episode 4. HAHAHA mole must be thinking we're watching at a really slow rate. One of the nicest Korean dramas I've ever seen! Both funny and sad, all at once.

Mole intro-ed it to me! And miss ng wei jing too. HAHA i really like the female lead.

On a side note, I'm really craving for 3 things now.

(2) SOFT SHELL CRABSSSS

Wahhhhh I feel like dying now, cos there's no more snacks at home except for hershey's chocs that mummy foo adores, so I cannot attack them cos I will finish them up once I get started.

*..A Day full of Coincidences..*

Today was nice.
Point form again.

I met slave in the morning.
We went to lf's studio to have lunch with him.
Slave sent me to Macpherson mrt and we drove past Alex aka "xq" who was standing by the road side. 

My laopopo Joanne-Marie called and said I can go for the Old Supreme Court tour with her today.
It rained so she couldn't ride there and we took mrt together for the 1st time.
My 1st time in the old supreme court and in a real court room.
A major eye opener, will upload photos when I'm really too free.
We were there from 2-4pm.
Bumped into Jean Hair there.
Means I met like 3 people from "Love Song" today, what are the odds?

We went for tea at BK Raffles City, greedily ate one full set.
Sat there to chat for 2 hrs.
Laopopo bumped into 1 actor and 1 actress friend.
I know that actress too, uncle Calvin's MOS shoot's cast.

Met PL Gang celebrate Huzi's very belated birthday @ Waraku Central Mall.
Had the udon I was craving for.
Met my favourite group of friends and made my night.
WJ aka apple girl sewed a lovely drawstring pouch for me =)
She brought polaroid camera too.
I now feel like buying the latest polaroid.
So sleek and pretty, and my birthday is next Friday *grins*

Was standing at a strange corner talking to PL Gang.
Saw FSV Lecturer Craig McTurk run up the escalator.
Slave & I were just talking about him this morning.
I said Hi and was expecting "H...he...heyyyyy xiuqi, how's it goin'?"
He said hi and rushed off.
15 minutes later, he walked back to the strange spot we were at just to continue the conversation. What a nice lecturer he is. We should stop making fun of him. hmmmm.

Took NEL back with neo, hz and pw.
Neo was crazy as usual, we laughed like crazy at her weird antics.
Walked home slowly with my bruised feet, kudos to my sandals.
It's feeling kinda raw now, sobs.
Read my gmail inbox only to realize that Mid-Term begins on wednesday.
And I have to study on my birthday probably.

And hence, I feel like dying now.
Goodbye world.
Shall wake up earlier tmr to do some homework.

How can someone give us so much homework, and exams simlutaneosly?

*..My Day In Point Form..*

So sleepy now, I decided to just document the more significant parts of my day.

- I had an EZ Link card exit error this morning when I exited Dover MRT. This meant that my fare wasn't deducted due to some technical glitch.

- I had to cab from Dover to school once again, and I should really quit this bad and costly habit in the long run. Oh, the most amusing thing was, I boarded the same cab I did in Sem 1 last year.  The uncle's opening line was exactly the same and I experienced some Deja Vu when he said : "Girl ah, going Ngee Ann Poly? You go wrong Poly is it, then must take cab to the right one?" (Dover Mrt is Singapore Poly's stop.)   I looked at his face and found it super familiar.  We basically ran through the same backbone of the previous conversation last year, but this time with more details.  But I was alright with this taxi driver, cos he's just a dad who's super proud of his daughter who's studying mass comm in NUS and about my age. Okay waittttt, I didn't know NUS had mass comm, but whatever. Maybe it was wj's course? major in New Media?  But the daughter just told him mass comm for simplicity.

- I managed to finally make some sense out of Law & Contracts class today, sighhhhh so gonna die for mid term in 2 weeks' time.

- I managed to churn out 2 new loglines for Senior Project feature idea.  Had been contemplating the ideas the past week but never put them down in words cos it's really difficult to condense a whole idea into 2 sentences sometimes. So I decided to put them into words during Law & Contracts class, pretending like I was typing notes all the time.

- I found key art references for Senior Project's One Page aka Poster, DURING the class itself.  Cos there's 2 stories I haven't pitched for approval, had to do both key art references to be safe.  Finally got the idea approved and my uncertainty solved....for now...Until I pull my hair out whilst brainstorming on script development. JIAYOU XQ!

- Had to take 2 stops of LRT from Bkt Panjang plaza to slave's house.  Had to 1st make payment for my morning MRT error trip's fare.  It was a mere $0.70 for my journey from my LRT to Dover! Supposed to be at least $2.50. 

- When I tapped my EZ link card at slave's LRT stop, it was an unbelievable $0.06 for 2 stops. It should at least be $1.10 or something. 

I COULDN'T BELIEVE AND CHECKED BACK MY PAST TRANSACTIONS, and it was trueeeeee. OMG. If only everyday's like that, wouldn't that be great.

- Watched Boi Kwong's "THE DAYS" with slave, we finally borrowed the DVD from school yesterday.  I liked the story till the first 30 minutes, thereafter the plot thins and it gets boring and sometimes unbearable to watch.  Just very amazed by some of the locations used.  And amused by 2 of the actors Anthony and Jason, cos it's always nicer to watch people you know on screen.  Overall, weak plot, great disappointment (cos I had high expectations of this film having heard so many good things about it and having great respect for the filmmaker ever since I met him), weak performance by most actors, disappointing cinematography...

The best thing about it was it was informative and authentic in portraying the gang traditions back in the 1970s.

Most annoying thing would be, WHAT'S UP WITH THE STAR FILTER IN ALMOST EVERY SHOT WITH A BULB/LAMP POST/STREET LAMPS!?!?!?!!!  seriouslyyyyyyyy.

- drank yummy bak kut teh soup prepared by mummy foo. =)

- talked to joanne marie laopopo, fionna and mimi yeooooo. And weijinggg hot babe!

- and now I'm wishing that the primary school won't call me tmr, cos I really need to sleep in badly.

*..Busier Days Ahead..*

xq hasn't had time to blog of late, no mood, no energy and mostly no time. Of cos not totally drowned in school (but soon to be), so before it gets too busy...shall make the most of my non-curricular time to spend time with slave, my wives, chapman friends, PL friends, family, fsv friends...which was what I've been doing the past few months =) And relief teaching at "E" primary on most tuesdays and fridays since our new semester started.

Hmm must find a way to juggle time properly so I can factor in more time for some jobs here and there..Need to find ways to earn more money...and gain more experience in everything...HUAT AHHHH!

Our long awaited Chapman Kbox session on 16th September with carolyn aka 3rd love, my wife yvonne, scandal joanna and toufyyyyy.

I loveee 3rd loves Canon IXUS 130! I loveee mine too, but this is an improved version of mine, so it has 7857845 more modes to play with. WAHHHHH. Jealoussss. I liked the FISHEYE mode especially! just had to take one of Fish Leong. hahaha! refer to picture below.

Anyways, the most favourite picture of the night. JY looking happy even though I ji siao her. Hmmm it's a camera trick btw! My hand was at least 5cm away from her. WAHAHA!

The 1st Kbox session whereby no one had to chase us out of the room.  Firstly, they switched off our song list at 10pm sharp. No leeway and no warning of "Last song".  Lastly, someone broke her glass by accident and we all vacated the room at lightning speed. But yes, we still had time for a self-timer group photo, but had to head directly for the lift and no time for toilet.

Didn't want people running after us demanding: “小姐，杯子两块钱！”  So we left abruptly and managed to escape unscathed. Haha cheap thrill.

But Joannamary!! U cannot use your card for clementi kbox just in case alr! nvm u can use ours =)

Gonna have a class gathering with my JC mates from CG 24/03 later. We haven't had a proper one since at least 3-4 years ago. Wonder how everyone has changed. So there's about 7-10 people going today, and I've been constantly in touch with about 3. There's this girl we don't like who's going, but the organizer's pretty neutral with everyone which explains her presence. Hmmmmm gonna be a semi-awkward time I guess. But I miss the rest of the girls, so it's still worth going =)

Followed by, laopopo time with Joanne-Marie. =)

Sound like a happy day ahead, if I don't think about.....When can xq actually begin on her homework clearing? Plus there's a dreaded test on Monday on.....PRODUCTION FINANCING...

Other than that, the timing of the timetable seems nice enough...4 day week, a long weekend.  But let's not ponder about the workload and brain juices waiting to be squeezed dry.

Oh and we received another mail with the detailed academic calendar for the rest of Chapman, it says that....OUR COMMENCEMENT IS ON 21ST MAY 2011!

Isn't that scary? That's merely 9 months away.  九月怀胎！

I'm now more motivated to make better use of my remaining 3 weeks of freedom. Jobs, hurry rain down on xq!

xq is in a very good mood today, cos she got to eat Kallang Airport Crabs unexpectedly! WOOHOO, but today's crabs abit no meat. -_- Malnourished. Slave & I met LF, Charm & YM for dinner and we ordered all the nice fooood =) It's fun to eat with people who loves food as much (if not more) than you do, cos good food somehow tastes better when shared with friends and loved ones.

Craving for jap food even though I just ate it on Tuesday. WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? hahaha I loveeeee sashimi, scallops, taco pachis, SOFT SHELL CRABS..EVERYTHING!!!

And I have the funniest friends who leave the weirdest things for me online that cracks me up =)

Joannamary who's recently been in the twitter craze. She has influenced quite a number of Chapman juniors to sign up for Twitter and now everyone's super active on it. Except cecilia chin and xq. Even Boots (Slave's bro's cat) has Twitter account. TSKTSK WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO!!!!!


anyway I was sleeping already, hence the MIA-ness. And joannamary continued spamming me nonetheless. LOL.





And of course, with technology, there's just more ways to find out when someone is talking bad about you or whoever. TSK don't understand why the seniors in school are ultra biased against us juniors and take every chance to dig at us. PUI. Hate it when they think they're superior to us, when we're actually all equal beings.


Yuck, you JNR. The sight of you in school irks me out. Twitter exposed your conniving ways. And guess what, today's presentation several seniors were late too, for like 45min-1hour. So look who's talking!

*..Little joys in life..*

Last Friday, xq and slave went for the SIFF Non-Competition screening of Store-Bought Love. Rushed down from Dead Over Heels shoot @ CCK to SAM, pretty far but it was all worth the time.

They finally screened the correct version of the edit aka the newest edit. Kino 2010 screened the old version much to my dismay. And the school sent the old version out to SIFF, so I found out about it and went down to Havelock Road office to submit the newest version of the film edit.

For some reason, when the opening credits played and I recognized it to be the new edit, everything just went right from there on.

It made me realize why we first started out on making a film. The applause and laughter from the audience makes every sweat and tear worth the moment. Didn't see Chin Hwee there at the screening, but he would have been even happier than me, if he could be there to observe audience response.

Of course, there were several other really interesting short films screened together with ours too. Notice that these were mostly Tisch or NTU Comm studies films.

The happier part came when the audience come through you to let you know what they think about your film. This guy actually searched for SBL Facebook page and commented there. And later added me to FB.


HAHA ok abrupt end to conversation cos I didn't know how to continue...

And just a moment ago, Xinying showed me this from the SINDIE website.


Just a little disappointed that my parents hadn't been able to watch KINO or SIFF screening. Don't know when the next screening would be, but probably no more? At least, not for now.

And Kaixiang, my ex-oak 3 friend, actually came to support. He's been wanting to watch since we were at the post-production phase in Jan 2008. LOL.

Most of all, thank you pigger low! For going down straight from work to accompany me to the screening. And for ferrying me about to get and return the hard disk during re-edit period. And for accompanying me at the school's FCP room till 9pm just to take me to dinner =)

Disappointed that we didn't get into any official selections but I guess at the end of the day, as slave said: "It's not about winning awards, it's about the audience's enjoyment..."

Was watching a bit of 《就想賴著妳》 idol drama, Ella said this line which totally made sense: “东西有没有那个价值，就要看拥有它的人懂不懂得珍惜它， 在乎它。。。”

*..Store-Bought Love Screening #2..*

xq's FSV thesis film project is gonna be screened tomorrow. Yes, I know this is late notice, cos school's been crazy and haven't had time to type this out. Haha I only found out about it on Monday anyway, after JJ called me to ask. We've been in our own world and out of touch with the outside world from Location Filmmaking shoots the past couple of weeks.

Haven't had monday blues in a long while..and today I woke up feeling absolutely terrible, yet the day was a mix of good and bad stuff..Of late, I took on the liking of blogging in point form, cos too lazy and too sleepy..

- returned to Zzzz land 3 times in the morning, slave had to call me 3 times.
- thought of how annoying business class is and just felt like going late
- because I was late, i bumped into PEARLYN TAY at outram park mrt =) I MISS PLIN TAY! we were on the same NEL train but only realized when we alighted. What a waste!

- didn't cab to sch, took bus =)
- managed to transfer fin my hard disk stuff so I could clear my super old 250GB to pass on to slave to back up his stuff

- class was really slack and a total waste of time as usual, so I had time to do my own stuff.

- had a nice lunch of mixed veg rice @ Makan Place.

- post-evaluated our shoot with Mano and Cecilia Chin

- reviewed footages of DO YOU REMEMBER with mano, durga, carolyn and cecilia

- received nice thank you msgs from Francis and Atiqah

- found out that someone lost my student card. LIKE WTH SERIOUSLY SPOILT MY MOOD. =(

- cecilia chin lent me her card =)

- borrowed Madagascar 1 & 2 for slave's bro

- kinda finished accounts for shoot and feeling happy that it's done, but devastated by money woes

- slave picked me up at sch =)

- Mama low's food was really nice today, loved the soup! Lovee mushrooms with all my heart!

- watched a nice taiwan variety show over dinner, been 4348953 years since I last watched tv.

- overslept at slave's house and we went home rather late today

- yummy fish soup cooked by Mama Foo =)

- stupid annoying HP is officially dead. Can't press the call out/call receive button. Grrr I can only sms now.

- Mama Foo is gonna get her iphone tmr. =( HAIS.

- tonnes of deadlines coming up, no mood to do any work.

- realization that tmr is just about the only day to get cracking

I dreamt that I was overseas somewhere, some supermarket.
And saw this really gigantic pack of gummy bears.
I was delighted and bought it immediately for you.
And then I was rudely awoken by my hp's ring.

HAHAHAHA RANDOM but it's been hoggin my mind for the last 30mins don't know why.

anyway dear all!!! In case you were wondering (like peiwen), I'M STILL ALIVE! just had a very busy week last week, prepping for shoot and having the worst shoot of my life. SO glad it's over, but the problems are not gonna stop just there. There' still post-production.

Been feeling lousy, cos as I look back, I realize there's so many things that could have been avoided, so many things that I could have stopped, so many things that I could handle in a better way. So many things that could make the shoot better, so many people whom I owe favours to, so many people whom I appreciate with all my heart. So many people whom I feel bad towards. And a part of me blames myself for all the bad things that happened on set.

Some of the top-picks:

- delayed time waiting for the 130pm train to do the crane shot
- crazy amount of money spent
- bad welfare
- elastic timing of the neverending shoot
- p2 card transfer saga
- chasing daylight
- batteries
- unacceptable content of footages
- police officers and inspector chasing us out of Tanglin Halt location
- angst and devastation

Just so many. Time for some self-reflection. Perhaps, this isn't what I'm cut out to do. It makes me doubt myself so much. And it isn't a nice feeling.

Was super tired the whole day since I woke up and looking forward to slumping on the bed. Waited for some time before we could leave sch for CamWerkz to check out equipment packages. Then went for location recce with mano, francis, cc and gina to this ulu pandan carpark space with 92865823523 insects and ants that loved crawling into my shoes and biting me.

Hahaha and it was kinda &%&^$& that gina cc and xq had to lug their heavy laptops along the looooong walk. They were worse, still had a DSLR with lens kit tsk.

Seriously quite far. Never trust guys' definition of "walkable distance". We walked from commonwealth MRT through the isolated stretch and ended up somewhere near Biopolis, walked in a loop and came to some railway track. After which, walked back to the commonwealth MRT. Took a bus to Clementi Mrt thinking we wanted to grab some bite there. Only to change our minds and take the MRT from clementi back to Dover again. URGH. Circlesssssss.

Met slave for dinner after his ot. We had yummy sushi tei again. Tskkkk BANNED FROM NOW! cos we've been having it on average once a week since CNY. Sometimes more.

HAIS SO LATE ALR. I've been wide awake since I jumped out to consciousness at 1230am. Dozed off at 1015pm whilst waiting for slave to reach home after sending me home. When he called at 1120pm, I was in a state of confusion. Wondering if it was dawn or night, if it was time for school. Then went back to sleep, and mum dragged me out of bed cos....

I was still wearing my outing clothes and in my contact lenses. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Sigh, another boring day at school tmr. Looking forward to the Kelvin Tong Q & A @ school tmr though. My new idol! WOOHOO!

Just uploaded the pics from the gala premiere on 10th March 2010. I should start bringing a camera with splendid zoom lenses to such events. ARGHHHH MY S5IS! It's been away from me since August 2009. was supposed to get it back today. ^%*^$*%^$*! I vow never to lend anyone a camera again! (only very good friends qualify).

It's really nice for a local film, not being biased or what. But couldn't help noticing the concise 3 act structure and the Hero's Journey we covered in summer term's Creative Producing & Development classes. WOW. (zhi ye bing aka occupational hazard HAHA!)

And watching the show brought back memories of the filming month. 28 days of shoot. Can't believe it's been 8 months, how time flies.

Hmmmm ohhhhh and this means, XQ HASN'T WORKED FOR 8 MONTHS! how unbecoming. May 2010 hurry come, then I can work work work and earn all the money I've been spending (with much guilt) back.

Was feeling bored and decided to log on to Chapman's results page to see if summer term's Creative Producing & Development module results has been submitted. And it was! Since don't know when. Wah no one told us.

So here's my cumulative scores for the past 7 modules. I guess I've tried my best and must continue to hang in thereee, no matter how much I hate/like the modules. Thank goodness, the modules are mostly enjoyable. =) I've never loved school as much before FSV or Chapman.

xq's 2010 resolution. NO MORE Bs! I hate Bs, cos they pull down your GPA totally! PUI.


Now let's see. We have 2 modules with WC (lecturer) this semester. Hmmm let's see, last semester he was really stingy with gradings (Producing for Broadcast). *sigh* Cross fingers and chiong for Location Filmmaking and Intermediate Screenwriting.

To be honest, kinda like this semester more than last! No biology! And I like nana's module- Writing about Diverse Cultures. It's kinda GP-ish, semi-literature. It touches on current social issues, or rather cultural issues. It teaches us so much more about other cultures, traditional or modern.

I loveeeee SCHOOL!

Don't I sound like some geek? HAHAHA bored la, after trying to clear some hw in the middle of the night (cos my mind don't seem to work in the day).

My current read! Amy Tan's "The Joy Luck Club". I've been wanting to read this book since my secondary school days, but never got down to doing it. We've been reading her works in class and thought it's time I borrowed it from the school library.


Okay let's see. I aim to finish reading all her other books by the end of this semester! Shall return to becoming a bookworm. Let's start off with reading the newspapers daily once more.

Hmm having mixed feelings, semi-blues. Was kinda looking forward to tmr, looking forward to seeing everyone who mattered to me at KINO tmr night but due to unforseen circumstances, some of the most important people to me can't make it after all.

slave has a loooong shoot from 630am till probably 10pm.
wj has to ot till late due to last minute arrangements.
my mum would rather stay home to do SPRING CLEANING. -_-
my dad said: "FSV made u sleep late and unhealthy, don't wanna support"
my bro has work till late.

Feel so sian all of a sudden.

Sometimes, it's better to not have hopes at all. The higher you climb, the harder you fall. The same applies to harbouring high hopes.

Hmmm somehow there's this sense of foreboding, feel so unsettled about some stuff. They're almost haunting and lingering round the dark corners. Oh well, whatever will be, will be.

On a lighter note, Leslie gave us an excuse letter from class tmr, so we're saved from the (very boring and most of the time, annoying lecturer WC). So for the record breaking week, I have only 1 day of school this week. Woohoo 6 hrs of school this week. But fear not, cos this only means more make-up class after CNY break. =(

And HAPPY 6th MONTH!! =) It's amazing how time flies by when you're caught up in the busy routine of school and/or work.

*..Spring Cleaning..*

xq finally got down to packing her room. It's not very messy but just cluttered. Hidden mess I would say. Looks okay on the outside, but I don't know exactly where to find some stuff.


and the OCD in me gets all angsty when things are in a mess.


The worst thing about packing my room is, it makes me tired the entire day and makes me ache all over. I now have a throbbing head.

But the best thing about packing is, I GET TO FIND MANY THINGS IN THE PROCESS! yay! some of which I've long forgotten.

*..Chapman 2010 Schedule..*

To think I was lookin forward to Thursday and a better semester ahead (that begins on Monday, 1st February). Hais seems worseeee. Cos it's a 4-day week.


xq is in GROUP B. So here goes:

Mon: 10am-1pm
Tue: 10am-1pm
Wed: 11am-6pm
Thur: 10am-1pm

But at least Friday is free. Hmm just don't like it that I have to go school 10am-1pm on so many days. WHY CAN'T THEY COME UP WITH SOMETHING TO MAKE IT A 10am-5pm day...then I can do some relief teaching or something. HAHA ok stop whining xq.

Hmm but this timetable is perfect for some freelance work, or even tuition jobs. We'll seeeeee. Haven't had time to job hunt anyway.

Okay back to work. All that writing and thinking is driving me crazy.

*..Meet Boots!..*

This is Boots! Slave's 2nd bro's new pet at the studio.


Photo taken by his brother I think, kopped from their FB. HAHA! Slave cat-napped it from AMK yesterday. It's a stray that looks almost too perfect to be one.

It's really amusing and heartwarming seeing grown adults go all soft and fuzzy for the sake of a furry creature. Aww. And it's the first kitty I've ever dared play with and not fear that it'd bite/scratch me or something. Boots is the friendliest cat you'd ever see. Heh heh, like to tickle its tummy!And she'll roll on her back, back and forth. Took some pics of her but shall post it next time.

Today's a happy day. Or should I say it's pets day. 1st it was Boots, then we went to Eastpoint pet shop to exchange for a bigger cage for kitty. The pet shop was filled with endless animals. Cute doggies, hamsters and guinea pigs. Oversized bunnies that are absolutely ugly but amusing to look at. I miss my guinea pigs! Not forgetting, obsessed dog owners who think their dogs are real human babies! LOL.

Tried the new BK burger. Cheesy Bacon Chicken Crisps or whatever. I think I got the combination wrong. It was so-so. But the chicken wings were nice though.

Finally got down to reading the 110 pages of script for Coverage assignment. Feeling super sleepy since then. OH MISERY. I hate giving comments for scripts, cos it's subjective.

Then we changed Ham Ham's stuff and let her swim in a mini tank to bathe her. Okay, not WE. I watched only. HAHAHA!!! but Ham Ham was petrified and there was 7 pieces of shit in the mere 15-20 minutes.

And we had zi char with 1st Bro and GF after that. Super yummy and satisfying meal.

Nothing beats having good food and cuteee animals. Hmmm the only spoiler of the day was Coverage assignment. Okay, back to it. The dreaded feeling. Can't wait for Thursday to come! End of this module.

*..Kidnapper, A Kelvin Tong Film..*

Have been seeing "Kidnapper" the movie's film poster at the billboards of bus stops of late.


Had the sudden crave to google it and found the trailer. Wow, pretty amazed by the trailer. Despite being on set throughout the filming, and peeking at the monitor from behind Kelvin Tong's back most of the time, the trailer looks kinda refreshing. Editing does magic, really.

Stipulated for release in March 2010. Heh can't wait for it! =) Like how I was excited about "Blood Ties" by Oak 3 Films. Only this is of greater excitement, as there's some sense of attachment to this film. After all, it took up practically my entire July. Round the clock. And the 1st feature shoot I experienced in full, my 1st time up close and personal with an A list TV star, a scintillating experience etched in my mind. Which reminds me, I still have 925629 photos in my hard disk from the Behind The Scenes..HAHA can't upload till the movie is up, so they lie forgotten in my cupboard. They made us sign something. -_-


Hmmm can't wait for March! OH SHIT. Hope the premiere doesn't clash with HK trip, else I'll feel so siannnnn. PLS PLS PLS! hahaha!!!

Okay back to Hero's Journey readings for tmr's class. I haven't read any the past 2 weeks properly. Bits here and there, so now I have to sufferrr the consequences...

Talked to xiaobai aka peiwen online just now =) She's sick in BKK so alone in hotel whilst nu and neo went shopping. and weijing b4 that. =) HAPPY DAY!

then I thought of lomography camera after that and googled many sites....SO GIAN NOW... slave asked me to do some research online and we could possibly buy it soon...ARGH I want it b4 HK! HAHAH can bring there!! so gian so gian =(

Thank god that dad managed to break his fall from the staircase, hope he wouldn't feel too much pain tmr from all the bruises on his hand and that big bump on his head. Rubbed hot boiled egg on the bump for him just now, kudos to slave's suggested "remedy" and the bump became much smaller after that.

Hmmm times like these that I wish I could be instantly rich...so dad can retire early and stop suffering from work accidents. He's been falling down stairs and high ladders several times in the past couple of years, sometimes hospitalized. Lucky Judo years had taught him break-fall techniques.
