Was talking a little about the food in Temasek Jc's canteen with dorcas and thought of finding my obiang old pics to show her! We were actually in the same sch in 2003! hahaha cos she's one year my senior!

*..Chinese Orchestra goes modern..*

WOW, jj just showed me some links to Nanyang Polytechnic's Chinese Orchestra's recent performance at the Esplanade. xq is melting..... The only time I ever heard modern songs played with Chinese instruments would be "Amazing Grace" when PL Guzheng Tuan performed it in alliance with PL Handbells choir at our farewell concert in 2002 when I was Sec 4. Which reminds me, I haven't gotten the DVD from my conductor. Wahahaha... I want!

Chinese pop on chinese instruments, hoho! To top it off, high quality videos. Always wanted that of my performances, but guess it'd be something that will never be fulfilled cos xq will have no more such performances.

wahhhh times like this that makes me miss the tedious PL Guzheng Tuan practices and Temasek JC Chinese Orchestra times with annoying conductors that make life hell for us, but the payoff after each performance is just so priceless and irreplaceable. Heh heh, think if we don't say..no one would ever think xq and shumingbird were from Chinese Orchestra back in JC days! Muahahaha.... 5-6 years ago!

The best rendition of low quality and shaky movements videos I could find of PL guzheng on youtube. Our all-time favourite song, 男儿当自强, that never fails to wow people at performances or orientations. But in fact, the song is the simplest song to play, all but team effort. Aww, kinda miss the conductor Thum Soon Boon aka laoshi. Check out his drastic movements. haha!

*..Happy 23rd, mummy chris!..*

11th May 2009. It's MUMMY CHRIS' birthday today. My bestest pal from JC. Sad to say, we're kinda out of touch in recent years as mummy chris aka dr chris is in NUS medicine and always seem to be MIA to all old friends. Tskkk too busy in his medicine world. Even Kaidog aka kaihung who's in medicine isn't that busy to not meet up.

We realized today that the last time we met was two 11th Mays ago, at his 21st birthday party. TERRIBLE. 2 years.

Nonetheless, we have our occasional smses on important dates, festive seasons, birthdays etc. And "plans" for class or clique gatherings. Haha inverted commas because they never materialize, ever. 9 out of 10 times he wouldn't be able to make it for them.

My favourite photo of us! hahaha! at graduation night, 6th december 2004. Ritz Carlton Hotel. Yes when I was young at 18. Wow, 5 years ago. Heh his trademark "floating hand" pose, it happens in 3 out of 5 photos taken with him.


Hmm, miss the times we'd meet before Morning Assembly to go for Christian Fellowship aka cell group. Every Wednesdays during lunch we'd go for another cell group aka "WOW" (Worships on Wednesdays). How I'd wait for him in sch library to end Econs class (cos I was forced to drop it), then we'd take bus to Mavis tuition for C Math tuition at Heartland mall. Fionna was in our class too! Sometimes 3 of us meet up together. =) The fwded smses, daily smses and calls, mugging sessions, dinners and NEL home together.

Brings back nice memories and tskkk, I used to actually go for so many cell group sessions in the past huh! Haven't been to church for close to a year already, bad xq.

So anyway Mummy Chris replied my sms just now and asked me to organize a class outing. HAHAHA, which he probably can't make it cos of his endless hospital attachments.

And yes, I do miss CG24/03 alot now. Academically, those years might be the worst years I would want to forget. But in other aspects, the 2 years I would never want to erase or replace given another go at it.


Who's gonna plan class gathering with me? Sigh but rather packed till at least mid June for now, shall see how things go.

*..Take A Photo and it will last longer..*

Helloo world!

Was clearing my hard disk space etc today and looked through old photos, had a walk down memory lane. Amazing how photos capture vividly a particular moment, caption a particular unique event..how a photo can enable our mind to recollect something we've long forgotten but the very memory gets intrigued at the very sight of the photo..

A friend (wah quote u! partially) was telling me how memories are likened to one's shadow. Such that, the memories are always there accompanying us, somewhere kept in our memory banks...but they are usually too insignificant for us to notice their presence; just like our shadow always is casted on walls and the ground, but we conveniently take no notice of them on most days.

Well, take a photo and it will last longer. Sometimes we really do need visual reminders to stimulate recollection and relive these memories, good or bad. In the last 3 years, I have at least 20-25k of photos in my albums. HAHA terrible, maybe one day I should aim to print out in hard copy some of the nicer ones. (I've been saying these ever since we bought the first set of digicam 938632 years ago. Maybe film camera is better huh, it forces us to develop every photo taken).

Was pondering how life's gonna be like when FSV gang goes our separate ways. That's happening for sure in February, just 2 months' time.

Oh well, cherish the times we're having together now anyway!

mummy chris aka my best friend from jc suddenly msn-ed me few hours ago, HAHA thought I was hallucinating cos dr tham is ever so busy and replies only 3 out of 10 times on any average occasion. So it's really amazing to get a msg initiated by him.

Supper at chomp chomp soon, mummy chris! HAHAHA I think I barely saw him this year, probably just once for CNY. Well, christmas must meet somehow! with kaidog, yeekai etc. *coughs* yk owes me a treat.

Been catching up here and there with my friends from various gangs. Glad that as we went our separate ways, some things just don't change. =) Thanks for always being there for each other. More meet-ups to come. After 19th December, xq's gonna be more free. Just in time for the festive season.

And now, beginning to miss some friends from fsv. Significantly less time spent together of late. But it's the heart that matters most!

It's dx's 19th birthday today. Calvin, uncle sw, vinod, dx and his friend, maybe derrick too are having yummy dim sum at desker road now. Pity something annoying cropped up at home and I couldn't join in, almost did though.

*..IFAH/HAFI'S BIG DAYYY!!! 15th June 2008..*

helloo world! belated entry, to "catalogue" hafizah's wedding in my cyber memory bank. Hafi, aka IFAH (Inclined Flex Arm Hang) which I usually call her by, got hitched on 15th June 2008 (Sunday) and invited almost all CG 24/03 class pple! Held at Kampong Ubi CC from 11am till 6pm. But we were mostly there from 1-ish pm. Let the pictures speak! Screenshot them so upload time would be shorter, don't mind the lousy resolution!
